Key Items Guide
The items that matter in this pack
COBBLEVERSE layers hundreds of custom items on top of Cobblemon 1.7.3. This page covers the ones that actually gate your adventure: region badges and their boxes, the crafted signature keys that locate every gym, the legendary key items, the pack's evolution and battle gear, the TM crafting system, and the CobbleDollars economy. Every item links into the item index; leaders and bosses link to the trainer pages. For full legendary summoning walkthroughs, see the progression and legendary guides — this page keeps those to one line each.
Badges & badge boxes
Each of the four regions has eight gym badges plus a League Trophy, added by the CobbleverseBadges mod. A leader drops their badge guaranteed, on your first victory only — rematches never drop a second one. The region's Champion drops the League Trophy the same way.
- Kanto — Boulder (Brock), Cascade (Misty), Thunder (Lt. Surge), Rainbow (Erika), Soul (Koga), Marsh (Sabrina), Volcano (Blaine), Earth (Giovanni); Kanto League Trophy from Champion Blue.
- Johto — Zephyr (Valerio), Hive (Raffaello), Plain (Chiara), Fog (Angelo), Storm (Furio), Mineral (Jasmine), Glacier (Alfredo), Rising (Sandra); Johto League Trophy from Champion Lance.
- Hoenn — Stone (Petra), Knuckle (Rudi), Dynamo (Walter), Heat (Fiammetta), Balance (Norman), Feather (Alice), Mind (Tell & Pat), Rain (Adriano); Hoenn League Trophy from Champion Rocco.
- Sinnoh — Coal (Pedro), Forest (Gardenia), Cobble (Marzia), Fen (Omar), Relic (Fannie), Mine (Ferruccio), Icicle (Bianca), Beacon (Corrado); Sinnoh League Trophy from Champion Camilla.
Badge boxes. Each region has a pocket badge case — right-click it to open a small storage screen for your collection. Craft one with a row of three region-colored wool over an iron ingot, redstone, iron ingot row, or simply beat the region's first leader, who drops the box alongside your first badge.
Gym signature items: how to find every gym
Every gym leader has a crafted signature item whose tooltip reads "Required item to locate X's Gym." These are map keys: craft the item, then insert it into the matching region Cartography Table to receive a treasure map marking that leader's gym. The gym generates with a Trainer Spawner already keyed to its leader, so once you arrive the battle is waiting. None of these keys drop from loot or appear in shops — crafting is the only source.
The tables themselves are cheap: the Kanto Cartography Table is planks + Poké Ball + paper, and the Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh tables swap in an Azure, Verdant or Roseate Ball. Late-game content adds Nether, End and Distortion tables (the last crafted from an Ancient Poké Ball and Distortion Planks).
- Kanto — Brock: Onyx Stone (Hard Stone, coal, stone). Misty: Cerulean Star (Water Stone, sand, seagrass). Lt. Surge: Lieutenant Medal (Electric Gem, gold, green wool). Erika: Nature Fan (Miracle Seed, pink wool, stripped oak). Koga: Ninja Poison (Black Sludge, fermented spider eye, glass). Sabrina: Hypnotic Whip (Focus Sash, arrow, red wool). Blaine: Cinnabar Glasses (Choice Specs, magma cream, tinted glass). Giovanni: Boss Ring (Power Weight, emerald block, gold). League: Rival Sling (Eject Pack, blue wool, ender pearl).
- Johto — Valerio: Raptor Bracer (Power Bracer, black wool, feather). Raffaello: Magnifying Glass (Wide Lens, breeze rod, iron). Chiara: Sweet Milk (Whipped Dream, milk bucket, light blue glass). Angelo: Spirit Scarf (Reaper Cloth, amethyst, purple wool). Furio: Heavy Dumbbell (Protective Pads, anvil, iron). Jasmine: Secret Medicine (Iron Ball, bundle, iron nugget). Alfredo: Winter Staff (Ice Stone block, blue ice, stripped spruce). Sandra: Pearl Choker (Dragon Scale, chain, netherite ingot). League: Master Cape (Covert Cloak, dragon's breath, obsidian).
- Hoenn — Petra: Rock Tome (pink apricorn, paper, stone slab). Rudi: Fighting Glove (red apricorn, iron, red wool, string). Walter: Electric Connector (Cell Battery, chain, gold nugget). Fiammetta: Fire Lighter (Charcoal Stick, flint, iron). Norman: Normal Tablet (black + white apricorns, quartz slab). Alice: Flying Feather (Sky Tumblestone, feather, wind charge). Tell & Pat: Psychic Medallion — combine a Medallion Heart (Psychic Gem + amethyst) with a Medallion Shell (Relic Coin + gold). Adriano: Water Rod (Dive Rod + Prism Scale). League: Steel Hat (Metal Coat, netherite ingot, obsidian, redstone block).
- Sinnoh — Pedro: Rock Casque (Rocky Helmet, copper, recovery compass). Gardenia: Grass Aroma (Grass Gem, azure bluet, small dripleaf). Marzia: Fighting Bandage (Max Potion, paper, slime ball). Omar: Water Mask (Water Gem, diamond, quartz). Fannie: Ghost Pendant (Ghost Gem, chorus fruit, gold). Ferruccio: Steel Spade (Armor Fossil, copper, iron block). Bianca: Ice Ribbon (Choice Scarf, blue ice, light blue wool). Corrado: Electric Fuse (Booster Energy, netherite ingot, yellow glass). League: Draconic Fin (Dragon Gem, Dragon Tera Shard, dragon's breath).
- Sinnoh Elite Four keys — the Sinnoh league members carry their own crafted signature items: Bug Net (Aaron), Fire Flint (Vulcano), Ground Shawl (Terrie) and Psychic Volume (Luciano). Kanto and Johto Elite Four signature items are ordinary Cobblemon held items (Never-Melt Ice, Focus Band and the like).
Legendary key items
One line per item — the legendaries guide covers each full method. Radar note first: almost every legendary hunt starts from the Poké Radar (a Locator Chip + iron + redstone; chips turn up in bastion treasure, end city loot and ominous trial vaults), which combines with themed materials into a specific legendary radar.
- Ancient DNA — Mew's essence, dropped by Giovanni; use it in the Resurrection Machine with a Cloning Catalyst (dropped by Rocket Admin Atena) to create Mewtwo, or craft it onward.
- Origin Fossil — any Cobblemon fossil + Ancient Origin Ball + Ancient DNA; revives Mew at the Mew Shrine.
- Rocket Armor — smith a netherite chestplate with a Synthetic Matrix to unlock armored Mewtwo.
- Ember, Thunder and Glacier Feathers — summon Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno at their altars; all three combine into the Soul Feather.
- Rainbow Wing (from the Old Sage) and Silver Wing (from Rocket Boss Giovanni) — summon Ho-Oh at the Bell Tower and Lugia at Whirl Island; the Shadow Soul Stone (Corrupted Shard + Shadow Heart from Admin Apollo) turns Lugia into its Shadow Form.
- GS Ball — dropped by Rival Red; reveals Celebi at the Ilex Shrine.
- Pebble/Cryo/Metal/Spark/Draco Relics — mined from Rock, Ice, Steel, Electron and Dragon Ore; each wakes its Regi, and all five craft the Titan Relic for Regigigas.
- Magma Stone — fuse the Heat Splinter (Galactic's Charon) and Heat Fragment (Buck) into a Magmatic Cluster, then re-heat it in the Stark Forge to summon Heatran.
- Red Chain — dropped by Galactic Boss Cyrus; a Broken Red Chain is reforged with the Knowledge, Emotion and Willpower Jewels earned from the lake trio; used on the Spear Pillar altars for Dialga and Palkia. The Verity/Valor/Acuity Proofs from Commanders Mars, Saturn and Jupiter reveal the hidden lakes first.
- Origin Ingot — smelt Raw Origin mined from Distortion Origin Ore in the Distortion World; it crafts both the Azure Flute (with the Temporal and Spatial Flutes) leading to Arceus, and the Giratina Radar.
- Griseous Key — a rare (about 1%) find in Turnback Cave chests, tied to Giratina.
- Dream Catcher — Dream String (Fullmoon Island) + Lunar Wing calls Cresselia; the Nightmare Weaver (Moonlight Amulet + Nightmare String from Newmoon Island) manifests Darkrai; the Member Card comes from Elfio.
- Earth Core / Ocean Core / Sky Core — summon Groudon, Kyogre and Mega Rayquaza. The Sky Core needs the Desolate (Magma's Max), Primordial (Aqua's Ivan) and Aether Gems (Mega Trainer Lyris) plus an Emerald Emblem.
- Grasswither, Icerend, Firescourge and Groundblight Seals — found in Nether loot (bastions, fortresses, ruined portals); each crafts the radar that locates its Ruin shrine (Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Chi-Yu, Ting-Lu).
- Galar Particle — smelted from Galar Particle Ore; a particle block goes into the Eternatus Radar that locates the Eternatus Cocoon, and particles also craft Galarian Torches.
Evolution, Mega & held items
The pack re-sources several Cobblemon evolution items and adds the full Mega Showdown battle-gear ladder.
- Evolution stones from ore. Mega Showdown's ten Mega Meteoroid ores smelt or blast directly into evolution stones: Fire, Water, Thunder, Leaf, Ice, Sun, Moon, Shiny, Dusk and Dawn Stones.
- Trade-evolution helper. The Link Cable is craftable (copper ingots + quartz + ender pearl) — use it on a trade-evolver like Haunter or Machoke instead of trading.
- Ability items, cheap. Mega Showdown adds crafting for the Ability Capsule (amethyst + diamond + pink dye) and Ability Patch (diamond + iron + nether star), plus the Eject Pack and smithing recipes that turn a Terrain Extender + type gem into the four terrain seeds.
- Mega Evolution. Craft a Keystone from Keystone Ore (Mega Trainer Lyris also drops one), then socket it into a Mega Bracelet or Mega Ring (keystone + apricorn + diamond + iron). Your Pokémon still needs its species Mega Stone (Charizardite, Lucarionite and the rest) as a held item.
- Z-Moves. Light and Dark Sparkling Stones dig up at Mega Showdown archaeological sites; they craft the Z-Ring and Z-Power Ring, worn with a type or species Z-Crystal.
- Dynamax and Tera. The Dynamax Band needs a Wishing Star; the Tera Orb is crafted from amethyst, blaze powder, diamond, ender pearl and glowstone, and Tera Shards change a Pokémon's Tera type. The endgame Omni Ring fuses a Keystone, both Sparkling Stones, a Tera Orb and a Wishing Star onto netherite.
- Form & fusion gear. Craftable: DNA Splicers (Kyurem), N Solarizer / N Lunarizer (Necrozma, built on Sun/Moon Stones), Reins of Unity (Calyrex) and the Zygarde Cube. Found in the world: Rusted Sword / Rusted Shield (henge ruins and Zacian/Zamazenta raids), Prison Bottle and Reveal Glass (desert pyramids).
TMs & move-learning (TMCraft)
TMs are single-use discs labelled TM-###: Move — used on a Pokémon that can learn the move (the disc shows ABLE, UNABLE or LEARNED per party member). The pack ships 802 craftable TMs, all shapeless recipes with the same shape: the move's Cobblemon type gem + one or two thematic items + a Blank Disc of the right tier. Examples: Absorb = Grass Gem + sponge + Copper Blank Disc; Acrobatics = Flying Gem + elytra + Iron Blank Disc; Agility = Psychic Gem + firework rocket + Emerald Blank Disc.
- Blank Disc ladder. A Copper Blank Disc is just one copper ingot. Upgrade it at a smithing table with the Move Upgrade Smithing Template (cobbled deepslate + gold + blaze powder; duplicable): copper → iron → gold → diamond → netherite, with emerald branching off gold. Stronger moves demand higher tiers — the pool splits roughly 137 copper / 146 iron / 171 gold / 108 diamond / 138 emerald / 91 netherite.
- TM drops. Every gym leader victory also drops one random TM from a themed pool (Brock hands out Bide, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide or Headbutt). Team Rocket trainers drop TMs from a huge random pool, Rocket agents drop blank discs, and raid dens have a small blank-disc chance.
- Stations. TMCraft also adds the craftable Move Tutor Table and Pokémon Breeder Table. The Blank Books/Eggs/Stars and the four Move Recorders exist as items but have no crafting recipe or loot source in this pack's data.
Money: CobbleDollars, shops & the Bank
CobbleDollars is the pack's currency. You earn it automatically by winning battles against trainer NPCs and wild Pokémon (COBBLEVERSE halves the base income with a 0.5 multiplier). Spend it at Cobble Merchant NPCs and cash out items at the Bank screen, which buys from a fixed price list.
- Merchant shop. Poké, Citrine, Verdant, Azure, Roseate and Slate Balls cost 400; Great Ball 750, Ultra Ball 1,000, Luxury Ball 4,000. Potion 600, Super 900, Hyper 1,600, Revive 3,000. A mob-drops tab sells egg through ender pearl (250–1,600), and a Cards tab sells the Trainer Card (500) and the Store Card (999), which locates the nearest Department Store.
- Bank sell prices (what the bank pays you): emerald 400 and emerald block 3,750; Relic Coin 50, pouch 475, sack 4,500; healing items from Potion 50 up to Full Restore 750; vitamins 2,500 each and PP Max 3,500; elytra 25,000; and notably the legendary bird feathers at 5,000 each with the Soul Feather at 30,000 — plus a long food list for pocket change.
- Trainer Card. Sold for 500, it tracks your trainer progress and shows each trainer's type, team, level cap, spawn biomes and — usefully for this page — their signature item.
- Admin note. A Cobble Merchant Spawn Egg exists for creative mode, so server owners can place shops anywhere.
